5. Finally closing down the account

Once you have verified that the data you have recovered into your evtdata area is a valid and true copy of the data in your daq account, you can take the final steps to close down operations in your daq account. As some of these steps are irrevocable operations on file systems that are notbacked up, please do a thorough job of verifying you have transferred your data correctly and accurately before proceding. You, the experimenter are responsible for the security of this data.

When you have checked that your evtdata area is a correct and faithful copy of your data, you can remove your daq stagearea data by logging on to the daq account and:

            bash$ cd ~/stagearea
            bash$ rm -rf *
        

Send email to the computer group helproom <helpme@nscl.msu.edu> indicating that your account can be shut down. Be sure to include:
