The gates page allows you to view, create, modify and delete gates. To create or modify gates, you must know something about the SpecTcl gate command. If you do not, the
gate editor might be a better option. Here's a screen shot of the Gates page:The bottom part of the page works identically to the Spectra page. You can list spectra, you can sort by any column in either direction. Double clicking on a gate loads its definition into the top part of the page. Filters and
work in exactly the same way.Get definition/modification is a bit tricky though there is some help:
The left entry is the gate name. Either load it from the list of existing gates (to modify) or type in the name of a new gate.
The drop down menu button at the right allows you to select the type of gate you are creating.
The entry to the right should contain the gate desciption as it would appear on the gate command but not surrounded by {}s. For example to create a slice on parameter raw.01 from 123 to 456 that would read: raw.01 {123 456} not {raw.01 {123 456}}.
If you are building a compound gate, the
drop down menu inserts the name of the gate you choose from the menu at the insertion point of the definition entry.clears the right entry field (the gate definition text).
The
button creates a new gate or replaces an existing gate if the gate name matches an existing gate. If you are replacing an existing gate, no confirmation prompt is displayed, however.
