The spectcl.parameter data type
is a wrapping of both SpecTcl parameters and treeparameters
that wrap it. It allows you to bind to an existing
tree parameter and to create new tree parameters that may
bind to exising parameters or even create new parameters
(although doing this after your analysis pipeline is setup is
probably not that useful).
